[Seoul=NewsPim] Reporter Kim Shin-young = Dong-A ST announced on the 13th that it participated in the opening ceremony for the AI-based smart hospital bed operation system at Chonnam National University Hospital and will supply digital healthcare solutions including “HiCardi Plus,” “LiveStudio X,” and “Smart ID Card.”
The Korean government is promoting a project to establish AI-based clinical systems that can be utilized in actual medical settings at regional public healthcare institutions such as national university hospitals. Through this initiative, the government aims to strengthen patient safety, improve the efficiency of medical staff workflows, and enhance the quality of regional healthcare services.

Chonnam National University Hospital is establishing an AI- and digital technology-based smart hospital system across major wards as part of the project, while advancing its real-time patient monitoring environment. The project is considered a large-scale smart hospital bed deployment initiative aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of national and public tertiary hospitals, with significance in expanding the application of digitally enabled patient management systems in real clinical settings.
Under the agreement, Dong-A ST will supply digital healthcare solutions for a total of 236 beds across major departments at Chonnam National University Hospital, including neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, plastic surgery, orthopedic surgery, anesthesiology and pain medicine, general surgery, pulmonology, allergy medicine, and internal medicine. Through this deployment, the company plans to establish a real-time patient vital sign monitoring and rapid response system for medical staff, contributing to enhanced patient safety, improved workflow efficiency, and the implementation of precision care.
MEZOO “HiCardi Plus” is a wearable patch-type remote patient monitoring solution. It can continuously measure patients’ vital signs and activity status — including electrocardiogram (ECG), body temperature, and respiration — for up to 72 hours and wirelessly transmit the data in real time. The device utilizes an on-device computing method that analyzes biosignals directly on the device without passing through a server, enabling medical staff to rapidly assess patient conditions. Another key feature is its built-in defibrillation protection circuit, which allows uninterrupted collection, analysis, and transmission of biosignals even during emergency situations.
“Live Studio X” is a centralized monitoring platform that enables real-time observation of patient conditions within hospital wards. It integrates monitoring of multiple vital signs, including ECG, oxygen saturation, and body temperature, while AI automatically detects 15 types of arrhythmias and provides alerts to medical staff. The platform also supports various device environments such as medical staff stations, PCs, and mobile devices, improving usability and accessibility.
